The Walnuts School is a specialist provision for children and young people with Autism and/or Social Communication Difficulties and a Children’s Home.
We are looking for enthusiastic and patient people to support our pupils during lunchtimes and to help keep our dining room looking fresh and clean and to assist outside with the pupils. The roles will be based at our Middle/Upper School in Hazeley.
Experience and enthusiasm is a requirement for this post, as is a genuine empathy with children and young people. The ability to be flexible, innovative and reliable is highly desirable. The Walnuts School has a successful record of staff development and training including knowledge and understanding of autism for all staff.

TEACHERS REQUIRED
The Walnuts School is a successful all age (4 – 19) special school for pupils with autistic spectrum disorders or social communication difficulties.
We are currently seeking enthusiastic teachers full-time and part-time (3 days) to join our dedicated team of staff. The contract will initially be fixed term for 1 year but may become permanent, for the right candidates. The roles are within our Primary Department. Experience of working with children and young people with a diagnosis of autism is preferable but training will be provided. The ability to be flexible, innovative and reliable is highly desirable, as is a genuine empathy with children and young people.
MPS or UPS + 2 SEN points.

The Walnuts School is a successful all age (4 – 19) specialist school for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Social Communication Difficulties.
We require Level 2 teaching assistants preferably with Special Educational Needs or Special School experience, however training will be provided for the successful candidates. Depending on the candidate, the role could either be in the Primary or Secondary phase. Enthusiasm and the ability to be flexible and reliable are essential for these posts, as is a genuine empathy with children and young people.
We are looking to fill a number of full-time roles over the next few months. Posts are for 32.5 hours a week and 39 weeks a year.
